Our Story
“Can I grow this or that flower?” Well, yes I can! Expanding and experimenting along the way, we decided to make the dream of sharing our flowers a reality in 2023. Located in beautiful and idyllic King George County, VA we are inspired and awed by the many farms and hard working farmers in our local area. Growing in a never-before farmed field has been a huge motivation in developing our organic philosophy and dedication to the environment. We love our animals! Come and enjoy the local flower journey with us because making people smile is what we are all about - and we can pretty much guarantee a smile from you, your friends and family!
At Powhatan Posies, we are dedicated to growing flowers without the use of herbicides or pesticides in order to promote a pollinator happy haven. We're passionate about our regenerative farming practices such as no-till, organic crop covers, crop rotation and other beneficial organic farming practices

About
Meet Mike and Lynette
Mike and Lynette are the founders of Powhatan Posies. Lynette is the head (and only) gardener tending to plants during our season. She is proud to have the title of Master Gardener with the Master Gardener Association of the Central Rappahannock Area. Mike does the heavy lifting (like digging holes) and takes care of the grounds for us. You may see Cindy and Johnny, our farm cats, often out and about acting as lead mousers who may even let you pet them during a visit. Mickey, farm pug, is sometimes around just being cute, but it is really his big sister Minnie who keeps the animals from eating lunch in the garden. This is our “team” and we are looking forward to meeting you!
